Our Commitment to Diversity is Not a Matter of Public Relations
Diversity at Shefsky & Froelich is not a program or trend. It is our commitment to each and every employee and client, and that commitment makes us a better law firm to serve our clients.
Diversity is the cornerstone of community.
Diversity means differences in all the characteristics that make one person different from another – such as personality, work style, gender, sexual orientation, age, having a disability, ethnicity, socioeconomic level, work experience, educational background and race.
We celebrate all of these differences in our workplace
To expect diversity at our Firm is more than just the right thing to do, although it is certainly that. Diversity has a clear impact on our ability to serve our clients because diversity empowers all of our employees to think more critically and imaginatively and to understand perspectives other than their own. These are the very qualities most valued at Shefsky & Froelich.
Our Recruitment Committee and Diversity Committee work together to promote diversity. We have come a long way, but much work needs to be done. We actively participate in the annual Cook County Bar Association Minority Job Fair. Moreover, we have initiated direct relationships with the minority law student associations at the top area law schools. Further we recruit talented minority summer associate candidates at the top law schools.
We are passionately committed to aggressive goals and innovative collaborations that will continue to provide the resources necessary to identify, attract, and retain minority attorneys.
The strength and future of our firm rests in our collective ability to make true diversity a reality at Shefsky & Froelich.
