Maram Joins S&F As Shareholder in Health Care Practice Group

Shefsky & Froelich Ltd. is pleased to announce that Barry Maram has joined the firm as shareholder in its Health Care practice group. As a veteran of Illinois government, Mr. Maram’s practice of over 30 years focuses on a wide array of matters relating to health care, public finance, and government regulation.
Prior to joining Shefsky & Froelich, Mr. Maram was director of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) for the past seven years. Under Mr. Maram’s leadership, hospitals and other health care providers received over $6.2 billion in additional federal funding. He also led efforts to dramatically improve Child Support Services.
Mr. Maram received his law degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law. He also holds a M.A., with honors, from the Harris Graduate School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Chicago.
